Wagering Requirements Explained (With a Calculator)

The single most misunderstood bonus term: what '35x' actually means and how to compute it.

What 'x' means

A wagering requirement of, say, 35x means you must bet 35 times the bonus (and sometimes the deposit) before winnings become withdrawable. It is about total turnover, not profit. Betting 100 once counts as 100 of turnover, not 100 of profit.

Game contributions change the math

Slots often contribute 100% of each bet toward wagering, while table games or live dealer games may contribute far less (e.g., 10% or 0%). A bet that does not fully count still risks your balance but barely moves the requirement.

Use the calculator, not guesswork

Enter the bonus amount, the multiplier, the house edge assumption, and per-game contributions. The calculator shows required turnover, what counts, and an expected-value loss estimate — clearly labelled as an estimate, not a prediction.
