A bonus expiry is the window in which you must meet the terms before the bonus or its winnings are removed. The window is stated in the promotion and runs from when the bonus is credited, not from when you deposit. Missing it usually cancels the bonus and any winnings tied to it.
Two clocks: claim window and wagering deadline
Some promotions set a short time to claim the bonus and a separate, longer window to finish wagering; others combine them into one deadline. Knowing which applies stops you from losing value simply because two different clocks were running.
Wagering requirements and time
Wagering requirements usually must be completed inside the expiry window. A high requirement paired with a short window can be hard to finish, turning an attractive offer into a small real value or none. Read the requirement and the deadline together, not separately.
Cancellation and partway progress
